Maxine Head was the fourth child born to Ludie M. Head and the Late Marvin Head on November 11, 1950 in Shelby County, AL.

She was educated in the Shelby County School Systems and she graduated from Shelby county High School.

Maxine confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized by the Late Reverend Burke at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

One sister, Lillie M. Peterson and one brother Marvin Head, Jr. preceded her in death.

She departed this life on Friday, August 25, 2017 at her home in Columbiana, AL.

She leaves to mourn her loving Mother: Ludie M. Head; two children, Frederick M. Wood and Yolanda D. Wood; three grandchildren; Jared C. Wood, Niqucesha L. Lundgren; Matthew M. Wood, and one great grandchild Payton Lundgren.

Two sisters, Vanessa (Pastor Ed) Jones, Helen Bell, two brothers, Dave (Tommie) Head, James (Hattie) Head, a devoted cousin, Chris (Angela) Sutton; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Macedonia Baptist Church in Columbiana, AL with burial at Columbiana, Cemetery.
