McArthur Simon was born on May 12, 1934 to the late Rufus and Dollie Simon in Jemison, Alabama.
He confessed to Christ at Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age.
He transitioned from this world on July 16, 2021 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
He retired from Electrical Specialty Products (ESP) in Montevallo, Alabama and Grady Foundry in Columbiana, Alabama after 40 years of dedicated service.
He was a highly active, productive man until his death.
He had eight siblings to precede him in death: Ellison Simon, Willie Simon, W.C. Simon, N.C. Simon, Robert Simon, Etherean McCrary, Estelle McCrary and Nettie Johnson. He had one child to precede him in death Carl E. Simon.
He leaves to cherish his memories five children: Roger (Angie) Simon of Opelika, AL., Douglas (Von) Simon of Jemison, AL., Arthur Jr. (Sonya) Simon of Huntsville, AL., Anita Simon of Jemison, AL., and Carline (Edward) Benson of Clanton, AL One brother Roosevelt (Mattie) Simon of Randolph, AL. There are nineteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church 1497 Hopewell Dr. Clanton, AL 35045 with interment at Shiloh Baptist Church in Jemison, AL.
