Mother Rosetta Underwood Moore's Obituary

Mother Rosetta Underwood Moore was born to the parentage of the late John Underwood and the late Ora D. Hill Underwood on Tuesday August 24, 1944, in Centreville, Aabama.

At a young age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Purity Holiness Church of God, under the leadership of Bishop James and Mother Mary Graves. She alsoserved under the leadership of Pastor John H. and Mother Coreen Williams. Later, Purity Holiness was renamed  Word of Faith Worship Center where Mother Rosetta served faithfully under the leadership of Bishop Bernard and Co-Pastor Alice Steele.

Mother Rosetta was educated in the Bibb County School System.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Henry Moore, Sr. and to that union seven children were born.

Mother Rosetta was known for her love for God and God's people. She shared the Word of God with all she came in contact with. She served as a Missionary, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Teacher, Youth Teacher, and a Treasurer.

In addition to her love for God, Mother Rosetta loved her family.

She was proceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Moore, Sr.; one son, Jeremiah Moore;one brother, Ned Underwood, Sr.; and two sisters, Eva Mae Smith and Lou Ella Bailey.

She found true freedom, and started her eternal celebration in the presence of the Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

She leaves to cherrish her momories, one daughter, Rosie (James) Robinson, Center Point, AL; six sons, John (Regina) Moore, Alabaster AL, Henry (Sharee) Moore, Clarksville, TN, Isaiah (Monica) Moore, Virginia Beach,VA, Melvin (Cynthia) Moore, Brent, AL, Levi (Toneka) Moore, Center Point, AL, Moses (Pamela) Moore, Brent, AL; two very special children, who were her pride and joy, Erica­­­­­­ (Jason) Presley, Greenville, AL, and Eric Underwood, Brent, AL; nineteen grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; Two sisters, Annie Goodgain and Carrie Burrell, both of Birmingham, AL; Two brothers, R.L. (Faustine) Underwood and King (Wyterria) Underwood, both of Centreville, AL; One aunt, Odie Fielder; a devoted caregiver, Mrs. Bessie Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Viewing will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 from 5;00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Word of Faith Worship Center, Centreville, AL with interment at Cooper Cemetery.
