Nellie Booker was born to the parentage of the late Jimmie Warren and the late Mary Walker Warren on Oct. 11, 1935 in Shelby County, AL.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL.

She was united in Holy matrimony to the late Deacon Eugene Booker on May 19, 1951.

She departed this life on June 5, 2017 at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home in Alabaster, AL.

She leaves to cherish her memories, eight children:. Eugene (Barbara) Booker, Jr., John (Stacy) Booker, Diane ( Charles) Taylor, Alonzo Booker, Earl Booker, Anthony (Sherry) Booker, Steven Booker, and Lolita Booker; one brother in law, Jimmy Booker of California, She raised three grandchildren, Janette Booker, Shelia (Maurice ) Marcus, and Christopher (Erica) Booker and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held Sat. June 10 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Alabaster with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Elliottsville.
