Pastor Gloria Yvonne Goode was born on August 3, 1954 to the late Sailor Jr. Peoples and Annie Laura Young in Bibb County.

She joined in Holy Matrimony to Leroy Goode on November 3, 1968. To this union was born four children.

She gave her life Christ on September 12, 1979 and was later called into the children's ministry that started under a shade tree in Brierfied, Alabama. She later started Freewill Holiness Church from her home and in July 1995 the Lord led her to build Freewill Apostolic Holiness Church where she was Pastor and Founder until the Lord call her home.

She was preceded in death by six sisters, five brothers, one granddaughter and two great grandsons.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Leroy Goode; two sons, Leander Goode, a devoted son Anthony (Denise Goode), a devoted daughter Veronica Goode and adopted son JaMarcus(Laposhia Goode). Four grandchildren, Javontae "Tae" Goode, Ke'Nore Goode, TaVeria Goode, and Von'TariusJones. One great-grandson, Zy' Ericn Goode, and Stepmoter, Pastor Mary Peoples; two sisters Linnie Mae Young, and Meriam (Reginald) Mays; two brothers, Pastor Roy (Estella) Peoples, and Rev. James (LaBrandy) Peoples; one special goddaughter, Carolyn (Junior) Cutts; one special niece, Demetra (Michael) James; and a lot of nieces, nephews, other relatives and everyone else she claimed.

Viewing will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at Pleasant Sabine Baptist Church in Antioch, AL with burial in the Church Cemetery.
