Patrick Oneal Chappell was the first child born to the parentage of Emmett Chappell, Jr and Vanessa Gail Chapell, on September 6, 1981 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He confessed Christ at an early age at Present-Truth Church under the pastorate of his uncle, the late Dr. Calvin J. Meadows. He was educated in the Shelby County School System. He was a member of the Montevallo Football team where he excelled. He was a basketball enthusiast. Patrick was a laid back kind of guy – very likeable. His mom always told him he was very handsome. He had an infectious smile. After graduating High School, Patrick moved to Denver Colorado. He later married Brandy Stark, and to this union one son was born -Noah Jeremiah Chappell. He later moved back to Alabama. And many years later, he met and married Mugali. Patrick was actively employed in various industries. He worked at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home Shortly after its inception. He was a valuable asset to the business and he enjoyed working alongside family. Family was important to him both immediate and extended. He enjoyed interacting with cousins, aunts and uncles grands and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Emmett Chappell III; His Big Mama (grandmother), Minnie Brazzell; Great-grandparents: Lueollie and Syndey Fields, Mother Ruth Hudson; Aunt, Rhonda Staffney; Cousins, David Renfro and LaTricia Young. Patrick made his triumphant entry into glory on May 28, 2025 at his home in Montevallo, AL.
