Rev. Paul Gene Calhoun

was the son of the late Willie Lee and Catherine Holtzclaw Hubbard of Chilton County, Alabama. As an infant he was adopted by the late Robert and Geneva Calhoun.

He was afforded a Christian upbringing and confessed Christ at an early age.

Upon his earthly demise on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his residence in Alabaster, Alabama, he was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Alabaster. In 2006 he answered the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Hubbard , Patricia Ann Demoss and Otis Calhoun.

His earthly memories will be fondly cherished by his siblings, Kimberly Leon, James Earl Hubbard of Chilton County, Alabama, Michael (Sonja) Hubbard of Little Rock, Arkansas  and Larry (Kathy) Calhoun; Sister-in-Law,  Pearlene Calhoun; A special niece who was like a sister  Jennifer Brown and a niece like his own Ambreanna Calhoun; A friend like a brother Richard Kidd; Two Godsons,  Deguan Johnson and Uriah Smith. One God daughter Shanesia Abrams and a very special friend, Ms. Lakedra Shay Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends,

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Alabaster with burial at Galilee Cemetery in Saginaw, AL.

Viewing will be held on Friday, Dec. 18 , 2020 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
