Phillip Eric Studimire was born to the late Hazel and Margie Studimire on April 7, 1963, at Shelby Memorial Hospital. Phillip was the tenth child of this union. Phillip confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized under the late Rev. James Adams. He attended Wilsonville Elementary School, Shelby County High School, and later the Mitchell Center. Phillip worked at Coosa Valley Milling & Hardware for several years.

He was a very dear friend to whomever he came in contact with. His everyday faith was "I trust God". Every morning and night, he would devote time to God through Sunday school lessons, listening to gospel messages and songs.

Phillip transitioned on May 3, 2026, at Shelby Baptist Hospital. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, mother, sisters Mary Long, Ruth Harris and Lois McGinnis, and his brother Hazel Studimire Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Louise Merritte, Evelyn Studimire (special sister), Margie (Booman/Caster) Williams, Patricia (Willie) Myles, Alvin Studimire, Yvonne Studimire, brother-in-law, Billie McGinnis, sister-in-law, Bertha Studimire; special nephews and nieces: Patrick Wallace, Eric Studimire, Terry Carter, Demetrius Studimire, Jeff Studimire, William (Stu) Long, Lesley Smitherman II, Korey White, Nathan Wallace, James Woods, Jr., Sherrie Townsend, Nina Woods, Jennifer Toney, Jessica Daniel, Megan Jorne', and Kayla (Tater) Williams and a host of family and friends. His legacy and good name shall continue through those who love him and his God. The work he has done and the faith he had, indeed, speak for him.
