Robert Louis Garner
On Saturday, February 22, 2020, Robert Louis Garner, a devoted
father, grandfather, uncle and friend entered into his final resting place .
He was born on Sunday, March 12, 1944 in Randolph Alabama and was the last living child of the late James and Mary Wallace-Garner. He was educated in the Randolph County Public School System and graduated from Prentice High School in Montevallo Alabama. He enjoyed his job and retired from Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding Inc. after 32 dedicated years. He was a deacon at Midway Baptist Church, Dawes Alabama where he enjoyed opening up Morning Prayer and helping the people in his church. Robert enjoyed the country life of farming and working in his gardens.
He was predeceased by his sisters Ossie Mae Garner, Eddie Lee Garner, Shepherd Garner and twin sons Roy and Robert Garner and a granddaughter Jasmine.
He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather and leaves to cherish two daughters Jacqueline Garner, Feleece (Terry) Williams, a daughter in-law Michelle Garner, a nephew Wade Garner, four granddaughters Jennifer Garner, Jacqueline (Shane) Banks, Briana Mosley, Felecia Williams, six grandsons Justin Garner, Kenneth Adams, Jamaal Nettles, Christopher Garner, Terry Williams Jr, Josiah Bell, six great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday Feb. 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at The Good Shepherd Chapel with burial with burial at Montevallo City Cemetery. Overseer Terry Williams – Eulogist
