Obituary Rosie Marie Williams Jones was born the 8th child to Willie and Catherine Williams, on November 1, 1941, in Aldrich, AL
She married Samuel Hudson at an early age and to this union seven children were born, but they later divorced.
She confessed her life to Christ in 1994. She joined Jesus Temple Church and was a member there for years, but later joined Day of Pentecost Church in Montevallo, AL, where she belonged until she passed. She was married to the late Leroy Augusta Jones (2001) of Calera, AL where they lived their life together. After her late husband's passing in 2018, Rosie moved back to Montevallo to Cobblestone Lane where she lived until her passing.
Four brothers, three sisters, and one grandson preceded her in death, Willie George Williams, Theodis Williams, James Carpenter, Elijah Williams, Lola Mae Cottingham, Betty Lou Williams Parker and Christopher Connell Jr. On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 12:50 P.M., she transitioned from time to eternity at Shelby Brookwood Medical in Alabaster, AL.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, Dellis (Mary) Williams, half-sisters, Callie Mae (Earnest) Worthy, Queen Naugher Rogers, and a half-brother, Allen Naugher, all of Montevallo, AL; seven children and a niece that she raised; two sons, Willie E Williams and Samuel Hudson, five daughters; Valerie (Rickey) Ledlow, Carrie J. Hudson, Ophelia A. Hudson, Sandra D. Hudson all of Montevallo, AL, and Angela (Lee Williams) Chapman of Calera AL, a niece/ Godchild, Catherine (Robert) Akins of Montevallo, AL, seventeen grandchildren, fifty-one great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who shall miss her dearly.
Viewing will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 4:00 P.M.—6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11:45 A.M. at Alabama National Cemetery. Apostle Calvin J. Meadows - Officiating.
