Stephanie Therese Murray, greater known as "Step", "Hollywood", or "STARR", was a true STARR on this earth. Born to Mr. & Mrs. Clifford Murray on April 5th, 1976, in Tuskegee, AL, & was the middle child of three. Step departed this world December 10th, 2023 in her family home here in Alabaster & was proceed in death by both her grandmothers, Sallie Roe & Bernice Jones, all of her maternal uncles, & dear friend Taniko "Nikki" Stoudmire.

Step received Christ as her Lord & Savior at an early age & became fully involved in her family church of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, she graduated from Thompson High School May of 1994 in Alabaster, AL & attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL. To know or meet Step, was truly an experience, she could always be found singing a song, smiling from ear to ear, looking out for anyone with less than her, & spreading her joy through laughter.

A true STARR gifted to us only for a short time, leaves behind: her two heartbeats outside her body, Daughters, Audriana & Kasondria Murray; devoted parents, Clifford & Catherine Murray; Two loving brothers, Clifford (Jo) Murray Jr. & Kenneth (Glenda) Murray; A niece, Kedra Miller; & two nephews, Myles & Aiden Murray. She also leaves to cherish her memories thirteen aunts, eight uncles, a plethora of caring cousins, and an unlimited number of friends that became "chosen" family.

Viewing will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Baptist Church in Alabaster with interment at Liberty Cemetery, Elliottsville.
