Theodis Young Jr. was the first-born to Theodis Young Sr. and Queen Esther Young, born on July 16, 1958, in Alabaster, Alabama.
He confessed Christ at an early age. He later joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of W.T. Evans.
Theodis attended Montevallo High School in Montevallo, Alabama.
Theodis met his wife, Lennie, in 1983 and they married on August 5, 1984.
Through this union, one child was born.
Theodis joined the United States Army in 1977. He completed several tours overseas and later retired in 1986 as an Army Specialist. He received an honorable discharge that same year.
Theodis was a remarkable man whose love, strength, and wisdom touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, family member, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. Whether offering guidance, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, he made a lasting impact on the lives around him. His dedication, kindness, and unwavering support created memories that will be treasured forever. He loved music, Alabama football, the Dallas Cowboys, and cars.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his loving and devoted wife, Lennie Young of Alabaster, AL; his pride and joy, daughter, Savana Young of (Alabaster, AL); his siblings, Vanessa Young of Montevallo, AL; David (Monica) Young of Loxley, AL; Pamela Reed of Montevallo, AL; Veronica (Quenton) Smitherman of Montevallo, AL; Marcus (Celia) Young of Pelham, AL; Harry Long Ill of Hoover, AL; and Ebony (DJ Snead of (Columbus, MS); a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodis Young Sr. and Queen Esther Young; his sister, Sheryl Long; and his nephew, Queshawn Young.
