Velma Allen was born October 26, 1950 to the parentage Dorothy Wingfield and Mr. Grady in Marengo County, AL.

She accepted Christ at an early age.

Velma was preceded in death by her brother Michael Harvey Grant and her sister Darlene Grant.

She departed this life on Wed. March 15, 2017 at Baptist Shelby Medical Center in Alabaster, AL.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son; Tavares Allen one brother Arthur Wingfield; two sisters, Angel Grant and Dorothy Wingfield and a host of other relatives. Funeral service will be held sat. Mar. 25 at 12:00 noon at The Good Shepherd's Chapel with burial at Montevallo Cemetery.
