William Earl Mayfield's Obituary

William Earl Mayfield was born on October 5, 1957 to the late Clarence & Sallie A.C Mayfield.

William confessed to Christ at an early age and attended Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Skylar T. Patterson.

He also was a devoted Auburn fan and didn't miss watching a game every Saturday. "War Eagle"

William departed this life on August 7 th 2021 at the comfort of his home. He is preceded in death by both parents: Clarence & Sallie Mayfield; Brother: Stephen Mayfield; Sister: Maxine Riggins; and Son-in-law Linnel (Tank) Ray. William leaves to cherish his precious memories: Loving and devoted Wife: Glenda Mayfield; Two Sons: Christopher (Tiease) Mayfield & Desmone (April) Mayfield; Three Daughters: Tabitha Ray, Deundra Cotton & Jasmine Prentice; Sister: Mary (Matthew) Mayfield; Two Aunts: Pearline Walker & Julie Ann Garrett; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his three "road dawgs" Edward Patterson, Tony Patterson & Derrick Herndon

Viewing will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Columbiana with burial at Wilsonville Community Cemetery in Wilsonville.
