Willie Albert Lacey, the son of William Fred Lacey and Katie Lee Hale Lacey. He was born April 29, 1952, in Shelby County, AL. He attended Calera High School.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Fred Wayne Lacey and Larry Dean Lacey both of Wilson, NC and one sister, Mary Ann Lacey Fairbanks of Calera, AL.

Willie was a devoted Alabama Fan. His happiest place and time was clearing and mowing his 20 acres of land in Shelby, AL. He cleared his land by hand, no heavy equipment involved.

Getting off work and picking up a six pack or case of beer, riding his zero turn for hours was his favorite times. He enjoyed playing spades, cookouts, and kicking back with family and friends. Willie was such a joke'ster from his heart. He loved being outside with nature. To know him was to love him.

Willie had three ex wives: Deborah Wilkerson (the mother of his three children, Sherry Cottingham and Carol Rodgers, both of Columbiana, AL; three sons: Dr. Ontario (Lakeitha) Lacey of California (Doctor of the Family), Willie Jr. (Phenecia) Lacey of Birmingham, AL, Shawn (Turqiouse) Lacey of Columbiana, AL; one daughter, Kizzy Marie Maye (Willie Maye) of Birmingham, AL; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Christine (Robert) Jemison of Calera, AL, Darlene Townsend of Jonesboro, GA, Tracey Lacey of Clanton, AL; one special half sister, Yvonne Silas of Montevallo, AL; one aunt, Josephine Lacey of Calera, AL; one special friend since childhood, Michael Germany of Shelby, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
