Life Reflections

Willie Love White was born on September 3, 1924, to the late Napoleon and Julia Cook in Brookside, Alabama.

She was united in marriage to Charles Edward White on December 19, 1948. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.

Willie Love passed away peacefully on October 11, 2018, in Shelby, Alabama. She was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin and Jerrell Kelly, and grandson Norman Terry White Jr.

She leaves to mourn her loving and devoted husband, Charles, six children: Florence Manuel and Melvin White (Ruth) of Birmingham, Alabama, Lawrence White of Shelby, Alabama, Jerome (Alethea) of Birmingham, Alabama, Norman White (Quilla) of Shelby, Alabama and Teresa Whiting (Leslie) of Columbiana, Alabama, adopted daughter, Tracy Sanders of Phoenix, Arizona, one sister, Ira Russell of Conyers, Georgia, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a special neighbor, Cova Sawyer Jr. of Shelby, Alabama.

She served at Providence Baptist Church, Shelby, Alabama for many years. She loved fishing cooking, sewing, gardening, and wrestling. And those who knew her knew not to bother her dogs. She was inducted into the Alabama Senior Citizens Hall of Fame on August 13, 2017, in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a loving and caring wife and mother.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Providence Baptist Church in Shelby, AL with burial at Shelby Cemetery.  Rev. Darron Sanders- Eulogist
