Alvin Earl Swift

Alvin Earl Swift, Sr. was born to the parentage of the late Lee and Lillian Swift on April 6, 1950.

 He was united in Holy matrimony to Mrs. Diane Swift and is the father to three loving children.  He departed this life on September 15, 2017.

Cherishing his memories are his children: Avaon Gaiters (Terrance), Alvin Swift, Jr. (Belinda) both of Alabaster, AL, Tyrie Martin (Percy) of Birmingham, AL, Tony Lockett and Rico Lockett of Bibb County;  Nine Grandchildren and two great grandchildren; Three sisters: Willie Ann Oden (Bosie), Leola Speigner, both of Alabaster, AL, Henrietta Byrd (Roosevelt) of Montevallo, AL; Two brothers: Johnny Swift and William Swift of Florida; Two brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law, all of Alabaster, AL; And a host of nieces, nephews and a long-time friend, Dorothy Ann Lockett.

 During his last days and until the end of his life, Alvin was cared for by his loving and devoted nephew, Dennis Oden, his sister Willie Ann Oden and friend, Carolyn Richardson.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 21 at 12:00 noon at  Soldiers of The cross Church in Alabaster , AL with burial at Galilee Cemetery in Saginaw.
