Bernice Robinson Obituary
Bernice Robinson
was born September 9, 1932 to the late Rosa Mae Pinkard and Bruce Thomas. She was raised and received her formal education in Mason City, Alabama. She received Christ at an early age at New Canaan Baptist Church in Mason City, AL.
In 1960, she relocated to New York, where she raised her family and continued to work in the healthcare field. She retired from nursing in 1990. She returned home to Alabama in 1992. Once home, she continued her Christian journey at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and transitioned later in life to New Vision Christian Church.
Her journey on this side came to a close on Thursday, August 23, 2018. She will now go on to meet her three children: Brenda Demand, Robert Earl Demand and John Demand; one brother, James Thomas; and two grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish and continue her legacy one daughter, Annette Nelson of Calera, AL; one sister, Annette (Gene) Soule of Troy, NY; eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and Sister-in-law Earnestine Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at New Vision Christian Church in Helena, AL with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. Rev. Van C. Houser- Pastor/Officiating
