Dennis James Williams, Sr. was born on July 31, 1955, to Odessa Virginia Nell Cohill Williams and Troy Williams in Alabaster, Alabama at his Grandparents’ home.
Dennis confessed Christ at an early age and attended Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL. Dennis was later baptized at Faith Temple Deliverance Center in Montevallo, AL. Some years later he attended Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church in Alabaster and New Vision Christian Church in Helena.
Dennis attended Thompson High School in Siluria/Alabaster and received his diploma in 1973.
Dennis was employed with Abex Corporation for many years. Dennis was the eldest child of five children and the eldest grandchild of his maternal grandparents.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Troy Williams and sister Darlene Williams Rhinehart.
Dennis departed this life on Monday, November 15, 2021.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Virginia Williams, one daughter Demisha Diane Williams King (Paul); four sons, Dennis Williams, Jr. Timothy Kirkland Sr. (Tikeda), Deondre Bearden, and Derrick Williams (La’Mitria). Fourteen grandchildren; One sister, Debbie Ann Williams Powell; two brothers; Danny Ray Williams (Angela) and Dwight Dwayne Williams; two aunts, May Frances Hill (Henry) and Pearlene Calhoun. One Uncle, Theodore Hayes; Two special friends, Annie B (Fat) and Willie Caffey, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, Nov, 19 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church in Alabaster with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Alabaster.
