Dorothy Jean Stacy Billingsley

              ……. was born Monday, July 29, 1957 to the late Eugene and Georgia Mae Stacy.  She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Earl Hayes, where she served on the kitchen committee faithfully.

 She was preceded in death by her grand children, Jamari Billingsley, Cashantis Morrow, .JaKeria Addie Bell People and Willie People Billingsley.

She departed this life on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband, John D. Billingsley, Sr; two daughters, Angela Billingsley and Lavonne L. Stacy both of Centreville, AL, one son,  John D. Billingsley, Jr. of Centreville, AL; four adopted daughters, Jasmine Ross, Tiffany Ross, Keona (Kevin) Lacy and Quenise Nance; three sisters, Mattie (Andrew) Butler, of Centreville, AL, Geraldine Vance of Vance, AL, and Roberta Ross (Teddy), Centreville, AL; nine brothers, Eugene Stacy, Jr., J. L. Stacy, Charles (Jackie) Stacy, George Robert Stacy, Jethro Stacy, Willie “BC” (Shirley) Stacy, Ronnie (Sherrell) Stacy, Terry (Rena) Stacy and Clinton (Cowander) Stacy; six grandchildren;  One Aunt Mildred Rutledge, Centreville, AL; Two Uncles; Gene (Lula ) Rutledge, Centreville, AL and Charles (Cora) Stacy , Birmingham, AL; two special friends, Latonia Kersh and Sharron Rhine; one special niece, Loretta Stacy, a God-daughter, E’Nijah Moore; three sisters-in-law, Willie Mae (Jimmy) Sheppard, Montevallo, AL, Margaret Bray, Brent, AL and Ethel Cleveland, Detroit, MI; five brothers-in-law, Mose Billingsly, Allen Billingsly, David Billingsly, Mack Peoples, all of Brent, AL and Wesley (Corterica) Peoples, of Vincent, AL. And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who shall miss her dearly

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Breant, AL with burial at Cooper Cemetery in Centreville.  Rev. Danny Leverette - Pastor Apostle Calvin J. Meadows - Eulogist
