Elaine Apha Dyer Obituary

Elaine Alpha Lacock Dyer was one of 10 children born to Thomas and Alpha Lacock of Hinsdale, Montana. Elaine joined the family October 24, 1945. Elaine left to be with Jesus

March 1, 2025.

Elaine was a quiet woman of faith but concealed within her quiet demeanor was an adventurer. Elaine left her home state of Montana to attend college in Springfield, Missouri.

After completing her degree, she accepted a 3rd grade teaching position in California where she taught for three years. Her adventurous nature led her to join Youth with a Mission (YWAM).

While Elaine was with YWAM, she traveled to Spain. It was in Madrid, Spain that Elaine would meet the love of her life, Ronald Dyer. After marrying Ronald on Valentine's Day in 1974, the adventure continued as Ronald and Elaine traveled to many places while Ronald was in the Air Force.

Elaine's true adventure came in the form of three precious sons that she and Ron were blessed with. She was so proud of her children, John, Matthew and Phillp. Being a parent was an adventure, but when Elaine became a grandma, the adventure got even better, especially when her grandchildren reached an amazing total of 8. Elaine was ecstatic.

Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved Ronnie. Elaine leaves behind her children, John and wife Vicki, Matthew, Phillp and wife Danielle and her grandchildren, Alyssa and husband Tommy, Mikayla, Savannah, Noah, Sebastian, Emmett, Adelaide and Ronin as well as numerous family and friends.

Elaine was a modest woman and when asked what she did she would reply in her calm, quiet way, "I clean the church" and gloss over the adventures she had throughout her life.

After losing her Ronnie in 2021, Elaine continued to have adventures by splitting her time between Alabama and Missouri where she would spoil all of her grandchildren. She was present for so many activities and outings, making memories with her grandchildren and sometimes the parents got to come along, too.

Elaine's adventure on Earth ended when she left to start a new adventure in Heaven with the Lord. She loved her entire life. Elaine's time on Earth was well spent for she spent it showering her love on others. She was loved in life and will continue to be loved in death.
