Eugene Booker, Jr.

Eugene "Punkin" Booker, was born to the parentage of thelateEugene Booker Sr. and the late Nellie Warren Booker in Alabaster, Alabama.

He received his education from the Shelby County School System and the Job Corps, Pleasanton, California.

He was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church.  he was a retired Truck Driver.

He departed this earthly life on June 4, 2021 at the Shelby Brookwood Baptist Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene Booker, Sr and Nellie Booker.

Eugene leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Barbara Booker; four sons, Cedric Booker , Terry Booker, Antonio Booker, Warland Ransom; two daughters, Kwana (Roderick) Stephens, Cominita Ledlow; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven loving siblings, John (Stacy) Booker, Mary (Charles) Taylor, Alonzo Booker, Earl Booker, Anthony (Sherry) Booker, Steven Booker, Lolita Booker; father-in-law, Robert Martin; two brothers-in-law, Vernon Martin, Bruce (Elaine) Martin; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Kidd, Diane Martin; Aunt, Earnestine (Earnest) Walker.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends to cherish his memory.

Viewing will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home from 4:00 -6:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 12 at 1:00 P.M. at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Columbiana with interment at Wallace Campbell Cemetery.
