Eunice Young Haggins

Obituary

Eunice Young Haggins was born in Bibb County-Centrville, Alabama
to the late Willie and Mattie Young.

Eunice began her education at Bibb County Training School in Centrville, Alabama. She continued her education at Prentice High School in Montevallo, Alabama.

She confessed her life and hope in Christ and began her walk with Christ at Vicks Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Moses Poole. After moving to Montevallo,
she joined the Everdale Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late pastor G.C. Massey.

Eunice was joined in Holy Matrimony to Raymond Haggins in November 1955, and to this union five children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Mattie Young, five brothers, Willie Young Jr., O.C. Young, Curlee Young, Nelson Young and Louis Young; two sisters Juanita Brown and Marie Young, and two beautiful daughters (twins) Wendolyn and Gwendolyn.
She departed her journey on Monday, October 9, 2018 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Eunice leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 63 years, Raymond, her daughter Faye of Montgomery, Alabama, sons; Eric of Montevallo, Antonio (Christina) of Centrville,
Alabama and Taylor of Center Point, Alabama, grandchildren; Demone, Meciala, Briana (Tanner), Jonathan (Ashley), Racheal (Ryan), Christoni, Gabriel, Madison, Conner, Christopher and Gionni, great-grandchildren; Crystal, Khloe, Zion and Dalaney, three sisters-in-law, Lillie Bell Young and Jimmie Young of Gadsden, Alabama and Iola Haggins (Ohio), two brothers-in-law, Chester Seaborn and Raymond Tolbert, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends Special recognition to Fuezell Tucker, who was like a son and Shawana Blount, her other daughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at New Everdale Missionary Baptist Church in Montevallo with burial on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.  Rev. Douglas Walker- Pastor/Officiating.
