Fannie Bryant Lilly Obituary

Mrs. Fannie Bell Bryant Lilly, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend was born on August 27, 1936, to the late Warnell and Mamie Lee

Bryant in Shelby, Alabama. 

Mrs. Fannie was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Lenn Lilly on August 18, 1956, and their union was blessed with the birth of three sons and two daughters. She loved her children dearly. 

Mrs. Fannie graduated from Shelby County Training School.  She worked many years for Valley Mills, National Standard and later retired from Shelby Medical Center, Alabaster, Alabama. 

“Momma Fannie” as she was affectionately known, departed this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center at the age of 86. 

She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Providence Baptist Church in Shelby, Alabama. She later joined First Baptist Church in Wilsonville, Alabama under the leadership of Rev. Cook. Several years later, she joined under watch care at Macedonia Baptist Church in Columbiana, Alabama until her health declined.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lenn Lilly; sister: Janie Francis Blanchard; six brothers: Willie Henry Bryant, Fred Bryant, Earlie Bryant, Warnell Bryant, Jr., Johnny Bryant, and James Howard Bryant.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her two daughters; Angela (Chris) Sutton of Columbiana, AL, Sharon Chaney (James) of Houston, TX; three sons: Floyd (Karen)  Lilly of Columbiana, AL; Frederick (Caroline) Lilly of Montgomery, AL; Reverend Bernard Lilly (Valerie) of Chicago, IL; One  Sister: Doris (Eddie) Threatt of Calera, AL; two brothers:  Rev. Fate (Doris) Bryant of Calera, AL; Horace Bryant of Childersburg, AL; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, a  host of nieces and nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends who  shall miss her dearly. 

Viewing will be held Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Wilsonville, AL with interment at Wilsonville Community Cemetery.
