Gary Xavier Ryan

Gary Xavier Ryan was born to Alfred Pearson (deceased) & Junnie Ryan on December 8, 1964, in Calera, AL. He entered rest on May 4, 2024, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster, AL. He was preceded in death by the following family members: Hazel Ryan, Russell Ryan, Alfred Pearson Sr., Roberta Pearson, Earldean Underwood, Joe Pope, Gwen Watson, Betty Maddox, Gloria Pearson, Arvis “rusty” Ryan, Greg Pope, Shirley Pope, Rev. Clinton D. Patterson, Roberta Adams, Sean Ryan, AlphiaRyan, Aldolphus J. Walker, Sr., Tammy Mitchell & James Adams, Jr. Gary confessed his life to Christ at an early age & was baptized at First Baptist Church in Calera, AL, & later in life, he joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where he was ordained as a Deacon. He graduated from Pelham High School& worked at Carmeuse Lime Plant for over 30 years & served as the Union Vice-President for several years. Gary leaves to cherish his memories: his mother & father, Junnie & James Adams; his three sons, Jarvis Gaiters, Daveon “Nikki” Cathey & Clinton Jai ’Xavier Ryan; Sister, Michelle Adams; Aunts, Annette Ryan, Cassandra Ryan, Peggy Pearson, Beverly King, Annette Pope, Johnnie Walker; Uncles, Johnny (Danita) Ryan, James (Patti) Ryan, Curtis Pearson along with nieces, cousins, family & friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories: Special friends, Bernita Patterson Ryan, Sam Bryant, Sebastian Bivins, Valencia Bryant, Stephanie Bryant & Christine Norris.

Viewing will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 11, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL with Interment at Providence Community Cemetery in Shelby, AL
