Jalen Daniel Anderson Obituary

Obituary

Jalen Daniel Anderson

On May 30th, 1994 Jalen was born in Chattanooga, TN, the youngest of four beloved children, to Dan Anderson and Sharese Blanchard. As a toddler, Jalen smiled often, always warming his mother's heart.  He was baptized into Jesus Christ at the tender age of 9 years old at Central Baptist Church in Hixson, Tennessee, where he attended faithfully throughout his adolescent years.  His family moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia where Jalen graduated from Brookwood High School in 2012, accepting a United States Department of Agriculture Scholarship to Tuskegee Institute. Jalen loved off-road biking and motorcycling!  Forestry and the outdoors were his passion, especially building fires in the wooded backyard where he also built a tent from sticks and began agrarian gardening.

Jalen enlisted in the United State Air Force in June 2013, where he served his country for six years before receiving an Honorable Discharge from E5 duty as Special Operations Maintenance Manager of Avionics in June 2019.  While serving, Jalen was stationed for three years in Italy where he took advantage of the sights and traveled across Europe.  Having completed his Associates Degree while in the military, upon discharge, Jalen immediately decided to continue his education and enrolled in the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Department of Business as a Finance Major.

Along with his mom and dad, Jalen leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters Patrese Nicole Anderson and Christina Anderson-Fudge, one brother Jordan Anderson, one brother-in-law, Kendrick Fudge, one grandfather, Curtis Anderson, three aunts Chenetta Jefferson, Karen Anderson, Corliss Thompson, two uncles John Blanchard, Reginald Anderson and other relatives and friends.

Private Family Viewing will be held at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home, followed by A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at The Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
