Obituary James Edward Ellis

  was born to the parentage of Solomon Ellis and Leola Mae Hudson on May 8, 1945 in Siluria, Alabama.

He was a free spirit and a strong believer in Christ.

He was educated in the Albion, Michigan School System, and graduated from Marshall High School.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Carolyn Sawyer, and to this union one child was born.

He worked in carpentry, remodeling houses.

He joined the US Army on January 12, 1968 and received an Honorable Discharge. 

He departed this life on Friday morning, December 28, 2018 at the home of his loving, devoted daughter, Tracey Ellis.

 

ellis .jpgellis ellis .jpg He leaves to cherish his memories: one loving devoted  daughter, Tracey Ellis; six grandchildren, Denzel Washington Ellis, Amir Tariq Ellis, Joshonna Ellis Hearn, Jada Ellis Smith, Amina Ellis and Queen Taraji Ellis Farrow; a host of nieces, nephew, relatives and friends who shall miss him dearly.
