Jewelene Randall Obituary

Jewelene “Jerri” Randall was born April 25, 1941 to the late Eugene Dunbar and Earnestine Rice in Marvell, Arkansas.  She was one of seven children.  Her sister, Artistine Tolbert and brother, Raphiel White preceded her in death.  She moved to Oakland, California, in her early teens, where she lived with her grandmother, Freddie Mae Turner.  Jerri graduated from Castlemont high school and later started her career with Alameda County Welfare.

Jerri married Manuel Holmes in 1959 and during their union God blessed them with two daughters.  At the end of their union, she met George Randall and God blessed them with one son.

Jerri confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.  Her journey brought her to Alabaster, Alabama in 1998 where she joined Liberty Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Van C. Houser.  When New Vision Christian Church was established in 2002, under the leadership of Pastor Van C. Houser, Jerri was very instrumental in the constitutional foundation of the church.  She served faithfully in several ministries as long as her health allowed.  She was serving as ministry leader of the Benevolence Ministry as well as an active member of Congregational Care Ministry until God called her home.

Jerri leaves to cherish her memories: Two daughters: Harolyn Ann(Lex) Holmes of Las Vegas, NV, Carolynne (Jeff) Winston of San Leandro, CA; one son: Jason (Barbie) Randall of Alabaster, AL; three sisters: Oretta Lams of Little Rock, AR;  Mattie Garden of Chicago, IL; Bernetta White of Little Rock, AR; one brother: Ronald (Ruby) White of Marvell, AR; three grandchildren DeAnna Winston, BriAna Estrada and Caleb Randall; six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at New Vision Christian Church 2383 County Road 95, Helena, AL 35080. Pastor Van Houser – Officiating
