OBITUARY
Deacon John Booker was born on September 12, 1953, to the late Mr. Eugene and Nellie Booker Sr. in Alabaster AL.
He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church starting at a young age. He loved to serve and took on the responsibility to do the landscaping, for the church and whatever other tasks that were needed of him. Landscaping was a natural gift that he was blessed with, and he enjoyed doing it so much He became a deacon on October 12, 2008 and served faithfully.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Eugene (Barbara) Booker Jr.
John was granted his angel wings on August 9, 2022 with his loving wife Mrs. Stacy Booker by his side at their home in Alabaster AL. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.
John leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Mrs. Stacy Booker; four sons, Mike (Tasha)Threatt, John (Shonda) Smith, Tobias Booker, and Jonathan Alexander, and four daughters; Felicia Alexander, Kimberly (Del’Rico) Ray, LaShenna Alexander, and Tanquilla Alexander, and four brothers; Alonzo Booker, Anthony (Sherry) Booker, Earl Booker, and Steven (Scarletta) Booker, and two sisters; Lolita Booker, and Diane (Charles) Taylor and Parents in love, Mr. Ocie and Bettye McCain; one sister in law Michelle (Moses) Edwards. And 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandkids, and a host of nephews and nieces, and many friends.
Viewing will be held Sunday, August 14, 2002, from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Alabaster with burial at Longview Cemetery in Saginaw, AL.
