LaWanda Gayle Rutledge Crews was was born to the late, Chemiche Rutledge, Curlee Rutledge, & Eunice Rutledge on June 11, 1975.
She accepted Christ at an early age and attended church at Present Truth Tabernacle in Centreville & Montevallo, AL.

Lawanda was united in Holy Matrimony to the late, Jamarcus Dionne Crews on June 16, 2007.
Lawanda was a housewife, who enjoyed singing in her past time. She loved her family dearly & she loved people. She always had a beautiful smile on her face. She would give her last to anyone.
Lawanda was preceded in death by her mother, Chemiche Rutledge; her husband, Jamarcus Crews; and her grandparents, Curlee & Eunice Rutledge.
On January 10, 2023, she transitioned from here to eternity to be with the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: one son, Marcellus Crews; daughter, Amilyia (Myia) Farrington; one grandson, Zy’Eirre Goode; godson, Naziah Heard; father, Bobby Lee, all of Centreville, AL.; five sisters, Shenit (Walter) Phillips, Natasha (Erwin) Walls, both of Calera, AL, Renae Tarver, Bobby Ann Tarver, Marquita Rhine all of Brent, AL; one brother, Harold (Pamela) Bowman of Montevallo, AL; Godparents, Linda (Al) Smith, many nephews, nieces, cousins, & a host of family & friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Brent, AL with Burial at Cooper Cemetery.
