Margaret Mayweather Obituary

Margaret (Margo) Elizabeth Mayweather was born November 1, 1942, to the late William and Betty Mayweather.

Margaret was baptized and confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Montevallo, Alabama.

Growing up, Margaret attended Almont Elementary and Prentice High Schools. After high school, she attended Alabama A&M University =, then went on to receive her B.S. degree from Alabama Daniel Payne College, and her Masters degree from Alabama State University.

After college, she worked for the Shelby County School System at Chelsea Elementary and Middle Schools.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father and mother, brother, William (Bill) Mayweather, Jr.; and siter, Barbara Jean Mayweather Belisle. She leaves to cherish her memories; loving sister Tennie Mae Mayweather; sister-in-law-, Dorothy A. Mayweather; an aunt, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Graveside Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Montevallo Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
