Sara Jones Obituary
Sara S. Jones was born on September 26, 1946, to the union of Sarah and Sam Jones of Alabaster, AL. She confessed Christ and later in life became a member of Soldiers Of The Cross Church in Alabaster, AL, where she was lovingly known as Mother Jones. Mother Jones was a faithful member and traveled with the church, when possible. Her trust and faith was definitely placed in the Lord and she was appreciative of those that called, visited and assisted with her needs. Mother Jones is preceded in death by her mother and father and older brother, Sam Jones Jr. of Atlanta, GA. She leaves behind five children: Timothy (Teresa) Jones and Lorenzo Jones of Atlanta, GA; Kenneth (Patrica) Jones and LaWayne Jones of Childersburg, AL; Lisa Jones of Alabaster, AL; two sisters, Eva Lashley of Childersburg, AL; Johnnie Mae Jones of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Cecil (Linda) Jones of Alabaster, AL; James E. Jones of Montgomery, AL; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
