Obituary

His Story:

Shante “Tae” Shanell Hudson was born on the October 3rd, 1977, to Dorothy Lilly and Robert Lee Hudson, Sr. in Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Ruthie Hudson and Leola Thomas and his nephew, Brayden Hudson.

Tae accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of First Baptist Kingston in Birmingham, AL. Tae remained a dedicated and faithful servant of Christ until his death on February 11, 2023.

Tae leaves to cherish his memories his loving parents Dorothy Lilly and Robert Lee (Tina) Hudson, Sr.; his loving wife Myesha Hudson; his son, Damin (Chelsea) Anderson; four daughters, Jayda Anderson, Caylah Hudson, Tasia Hudson and Yasmin Hudson; grandson, Toussiante Anderson; mother-in-Law, Carolyn Morris; father-in-law, Cleven Banks; three brothers, Calvin (Phylecia) Thomas, Roderick Hudson and Robert Lee Hudson, Jr.; sister Candice Hudson; brother-in-law, Michael Cash; sister-in-laws, Crystal Banks and Maria (AJ) Burpo; special sister, Melissa Staffney; nieces: Raven, Camia, Halee, Brianna, Brittney, Saniaa, Lori and Laiyla; nephews: Jade, Javen, Brannon, Timothy and Armani; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose life he touched.

Profile of Life:

Tae was a graduate from Montevallo High School in 1996 and attended Jefferson State Community College. He later went to service our country in the United States Army in 2001 until he retired.

He worked at US Steel in Fairfield, AL for thirteen years as a crane operator. He later began his career at the United States Postal Service in Birmingham, AL as a MVS Driver on T-1 until his death. Tae demonstrated a work ethic of dedication and resilience throughout his career.

Tae valued his family and friends. He went above and beyond to provide a quality of life for his wife and children. He was well-known for his stylish swag and his multiple vehicle collection. He adored his mother and their quality time together.

Viewing will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Upper Room Church in Wilton, AL with interment at Alabama National Cemetery.
