Obituary 

Victor Wood (Cowboy)” was born to the parentage of DC Wood and Geraldine Wood on Thursday, February 6, 1964.

 He graduated with the Class of 1983 from Shelby County High School. He joined the armed forces in 1982 where he served 15 years and was in the conflicts including Desert Storm.

Later in life he was united in Holy Matrimony to Tina Lavell Jones Wood.

He departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His loving wife Tina Lavell Jones Woods; two daughters, Whitley Adrianna Wood Stone (Hoopa) of Birmingham, AL and Chelsea of Pennsylvania: One son Darren of Wisconsin; One stepson Stedman Simmons (Shantrice) of Childersburg, AL; Two brothers, Mitchell M. Wood of Birmingham, AL  and Eric Lamar Wood (Tequila ) of Birmingham, AL: Two sisters, Sherry Ann Wood of Birmingham, AL and Sheila Mae Allen of Birmingham, AL; Father-in-law Jimmy L. Jones (Natalie) of Glenwood, IL; Mother-in-Law Leola Jones of Childersburg, AL, Two brothers –in Laws Franklin Jones of Childersburg, AL and Steven Jones (Canita) of Jacksonville, NC; Two sisters-in-laws, Karen Jones of Childersburg, AL Venus Jones of Charlotte, NC and Jennifer Jones of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Childersburg, AL with burial at Alabama national Cemetery with Military Honors in Montevallo, AL. Rev. Calvin Cunningham – Officiating.
